I'm a little surprised people are freaking out over hantavirus. Its plagued the AT for over a decade now. Through hikers get it routinely when staying in shelters because of all the mice and rats (which persist thanks to everyone killing snakes even endangered species of snakes) Wash your hands, don't eat food with rat poop in it, and wash your utensils if you lay them on potentially contaminated surfaces. Cruise ships are easily contaminated boxes. If pest control isn't top notch this results

    @Rhew@gulp.cafe online buddy of mine was freaking out about it a little bit... it really doesn't seem that bad. It's probably more dangerous to the elderly (who take cruises more often), so it's more expected that there are, unfortunately a couple deaths. He said the mortality rate is 65-75%, which I didn't see online with a quick google
