@f09fa681@digitalcourage.social @Hoffi@social.cologne @cycling_on_rails@mastodon.social The solution - if you don't want to disassemble the bike! - is find a Strasbourg to the south of France TGV that does convey bikes, and then from south of France route to Port Bou on TER trains that do take bikes.

@jon@gruene.social @f09fa681@digitalcourage.social @Hoffi@social.cologne Another option: ICE to Basel, then cross Switzerland to Geneva, regional train to Lyon & continue from there (either the direct Lyon-Barcelona by Renfe, or regional trains), as @wolfgangcramer@fediscience.org has tooted in the past. If you go for a 3-month tour anyway and can afford one more day of travel via slower/regional trains this may be a viable alternative for you?
