@LeonianUniverse@caneandable.social If you have furniture outside that can attract them (e.g. a seating area), place them in positions that are both useful to you, and in the path that enemies might take. The time they spend kicking the crap out of your stools is time you have to prepare. If there are specific routes that pawns like to walk then build cover in areas that can target them. Buy, tame and train animals as they'll help slow down and injure enemies. Areas with straw matting and incendiary traps are Fun.

@LeonianUniverse@caneandable.social Enemies will also tend to go through gaps in a wall, so you can design walls in such a way that attracts them into areas where you have the advantage - barricades set-up a good distance so you can get shots on them and have melee people hiding close by, who can swoop in when the time is right.
