Maybe it's just me but I think #RaspberryPi OS #trixie with #Wayland is great improvement for older models like Pi 3. Using e.g. Mastodon w/Firefox just works.
A cool #hack for the official 7" touchscreen: fix xterm font to 12 pt and set Wayland scaling to 0.993. Then entering full screen mode, you get just exactly 80x25 terminal.
Also got the 1-button mouse usable with Wayland. Instead of GUI hacks, I just created udev/hwdb rule to emit right clicks with kbd.
