And let's be honest: that's a thing we - as people in tech - brought on ourselves. We framed coding as this super hard and complicated thing that only super brains are able to do. Only we, the all-knowing nerds could do this magic! And so we pushed a lot of people out. And that's the people who now enjoy being able to "make" their cool little own apps and scripts.

    And I just wish they would gather actual coding knowledge and find the fun in technology. Instead they now mess with slippery slop-code that will fall apart in a few days. And that will bring even more frustration :(

    @bleeptrack@vis.social I definitely feel the industry as a whole (with numerous exceptions in its individuals who often have tried to increase accessibility) has brought this on itself. It’s a shame that those that encouraged things to be this way and benefitted from the barriers to entry and exceptionalism seem likely to continue to benefit with AI.
