@tilton@fursuits.online I genuinely had some European tech head argue a couple of years ago that I was “too negative” about gen AI (1) and that he found it useful (2). (1) after I mentioned that my mother, brother, sister-in-law, several relatives, and a grand total of two hundred people were laid off from a single company at once (over 90% of its workforce) because the boss decided that AI could do their job now. (2) quote, “it helps my kids do their homework”.
