@Huntn00@mastodon.world Oooh that's cool you're finding both at about the same time! I find they both tend to talk about the same general topics, at the same time, but in TOTALLY different framings, and it can be really useful.
Like here is often very focused on what just happened and next steps, and that's great. Substack often has content on what just happened, and how that looks in the lens of older theories, or how that might change things over multiple steps through time.
But! People on the Fediverse tend to really dislike Substack, while people on Substack tend to like the Fediverse, at least in my experience.

@emsenn@kolektiva.social I just don’t have enough exposure to judge this. I do see much of Substack is trying to push subscriptions which does not work for me. I remember when an Atlantic Magazine subscription was approx $24/year. Now they want $79/year. 😐 I won’t subscribe to each individual voice.
