@foxxyLunaNicole@woem.men @sushimcpe@transfem.social I think it's honestly a problem of optimism not price. I'm sure the virtual boy was expensive af for its time, but at least then people had excitement and optimism for VR. Now everyone knows you're getting a expensive piece of plastic with a couple party tricks and maybe a couple real uses.

    @spots1000@woem.men @sushimcpe@transfem.social i mean I use VR regularly and the Vision pro doesn't fit my use case, but it always was more of a technology demonstrator than anything else. I do agree tho that most VR uses aren't really big money makers and there's just not a lot of innovation in that space. Like you could potentially use it for education and 3D modelling, maybe for some other things too outside of entertainment, but not a lot.
