@spots1000@woem.men @sushimcpe@transfem.social i mean I use VR regularly and the Vision pro doesn't fit my use case, but it always was more of a technology demonstrator than anything else. I do agree tho that most VR uses aren't really big money makers and there's just not a lot of innovation in that space. Like you could potentially use it for education and 3D modelling, maybe for some other things too outside of entertainment, but not a lot.

@foxxyLunaNicole@woem.men @spots1000@woem.men The Vision Pro is a cool headset, just way overpriced. Now my Quest 2 has everything I need because I only care about VR, not much about AR, but the Quest 3 has more of the features that people look for, for a way lower price tag. AVP's viewing features for those 3D effect photos and the video viewing are really cool but most people use VR for gaming and Apple heavily overestimated the non-gamer target audience's appeal to such an expensive product. The Virtual Boy was definitely not the best of products but it appealed to its target audience better than Apple appealed to theirs with the Vision Pro. Doesn't mean the Virtual Boy wasn't a massive flop, but still.
