RE: https://mastodon.social/@livelakemichigan/116539103773546840 I desperately need to know the tale of pettiness behind the caption that is always superimposed on this webcam: "Outdoor serving of bar and restaurant customers by the owner or operator of Unit 1001 [The Shoreline Restaurant] or other restaurant personnel shall not be permitted." Is this a quote from a local law? Or perhaps a court order? If you go to their website, you can see the same view, but taken from a much lower angle. You may also notice that at least half of their food and drink photos seem to be taken on an outdoor table. My working theory is that this webcam is owned by an enemy of theirs, who has mounted it on a tall pole or building to monitor their property and make sure they aren't serving anybody outdoors. https://theshorelinerestaurant.com/
