@alxcndr@mastodon.social Screw innovation, they're not even gonna do their average. They'll slack around and do the easiest possible thing. When they're in a position to make decisions, they'll make stupid decisions because they they don't bear the consequences.

    @Wolf480pl@niu.moe this is a belief, where is the evidence of that on a larger scale? There a quite some counter-examples. Look at free software. Most free software is produced by people already paid by another company. And these people work on their free time. How so? Why are they doing that? Why don't they slack around? Do you really think people are compelled to do "their best" only when they are threatened by starvation?
