@Wolf480pl@niu.moe @lain@pleroma.soykaf.com Businesses want to see what content generates more views in order to make more and better of it as well as promoting it more to people more likely interested, thus getting more income. The fix would depend on changing the economic model to one where businesses can largely profit without studying their users in detail, by e.g. relying less on advertising and more on word-of-mouth.

@Wolf480pl@niu.moe @lain@pleroma.soykaf.com They don't even look at most of them, the analytics just fulfill a checkbox on a project report. Really the only time they get checked is when somebody gets called out in a meeting, and the scramble with the dashboard to come up with metrics before the boss.
