@martenson@mastodon.world It's not clear that there is any law stopping an AI consuming copyrighted work, and that is actually a really rather good thing, because it's the same fact that allows search engines, and allows things like AI based screen reading for the blind and dyslexic to function. A world where a blind person can't read a sign unless the application author has licensed that specific sign is not a good one.
The issue is what it does with the content it read. Same with pirate bay
