Hi peeps/mastodonians/scribes and scribblers... Could someone please explain the microfiction hashtag and its uses.
Might want to share some recent scribbles... if anyone is interested that is.

@Owen_G_Richards@writing.exchange It's for sharing very short stories, usually short enough to fit in a standard (though standard length varies between instances...) 500-character toot, though sometimes people use it for multitoot stories too.

@Owen_G_Richards@writing.exchange There are also a number of prompts, like #wss366 (wandering shop stories) and #vss365 (very short stories) that encourage people to write microfiction.
