That is funny, but I feel like it was a bit of a thing of its time as well because I was asked to do some very strange gigs, like elderly homes and ordinary weddings. And I recall talking to others about it as well and they had similar stories being booked to do surreal jobs. Once I was asked to warm up for Rednex. At least that is somewhat (?) relevant to my genre...somewhat..sort of..kinda..
