Idk what you find humorous... did I mistranslate or something? I'm pretty confident I got it right... Oh, so, the original phrase I had in my mind was something like “在大陆的同胞” (compatriots in mainland China) / “在国内的同胞” (compatriots in *the country* [refering to China]) but then my English in my mind automatically thought of "Home Country" when I think of China so that's the translation my mind came up with... idk my brain is weird... now you're making me question my confidence in the English language... I thought like *I had this* after being in an Anglosphere country for so long...
