@Doctor0710@mas.to @j9t@mas.to Falling back to hotels is probably the best option rather than AirBnB.
Unfortunately, in some locations AirBnB & Booking.com essentially have a monopoly - especially on apartments. Once you've visted somewhere, you can get to know the apartment owners & book direct from them, but getting there in the first place is a potential stumbling block.

@kittylyst@mastodon.social @j9t@mas.to yea, I usually stay at least a month, sometimes more, because the places I visit have huge monthly savings on airbnb, hotels and other platforms can't match that (yet) - I already checked on VRBO which was mentioned before. Getting to know the owners and booking directly is definitely a good shout though...
