@odoruhako@mastodon.social In France, the regulations for local trains (TER) depend on each regional authority, in your case on Nouvelle Aquitaine. You must purchase a reservation ticket for your bike (3€) here:

@KlausGerdGiesen@chaos.social Not asking for an explanation. (At least not "for what to do". That's just complex, but not unclear. No reservation needed for my date.) What I'd like to have a reasonable explanation for is how it's possible that a railway company in a centralized state like France is pushing this complexity on their customers, and can't make that reservation when booking the ticket.
