Thinking about how the most recent time I tried to play Bioshock: Infinite was with a friend who really liked that game.
But I made it clear at the start: I like exploring, I like figuring things out, I play games to do those things and backseat gaming ruins that for me. So please don't do that.
They agreed.
The exact moment I had agency in the game they said "oh turn around and check the trash can at the back of the room."
And I just turned off the game.

@KolaMagpie@this.mouse.rocks The number of times I've tried playing new to me games or games I'm not too experienced at with friends, only to immediately have the asks I made be totally ignored... And every time I forget that I said I'm not doing it anymore I get immediately reminded. It gets tiring. X.x
