Had to do a cognitive test for giving consent to my surgery coming up at the end of the month. Just need to survive a few more long weeks at work! I can also now confirm I&#39;m at least as &quot;smart&quot; as the current president of the United States.

Incredible timing at deciding I need a pocket watch (no electronics allowed in an area I work) - Turns out Swatch released a new one this weekend, and it&#39;s significantly cheaper than the others I&#39;d been contemplating. Now I just have to wait for the initial rush to die down so I can snag one!

I swear to chirp the next person I see complain about the shitty ways the Bluesky community is to trans folk / furries / kinks /whatever (and not in a &quot;I&#39;m glad the Fediverse isn&#39;t like that&quot; kind of way) I&#39;m gonna start getting the block hammer out. Just a couple days until surgery! Which is good because the new supplier of spiro my pharmacy uses seems to be far less effective at its job than the previous supplier. I&#39;ll be glad to not need that any longer! Got one more pre-op appointment tomorrow, but everything they&#39;ve asked for is done and approved so shouldn&#39;t be any last-second issues.

There&#39;s something special to having a lot of the management worried about how the two months I&#39;m missing will go for them. We&#39;ve trained up all the folk we could, figured out a couple successors to pass things off to, got the area started a new workflow that I&#39;d been working on making reality for years, and now we don&#39;t get to see how it handles in implementation.
