Ah ok, I think in general Anglo-Saxon countries have or use more acronyms than we do. As a non-native speaker I don't know the acronym daft, I will look it up.

A not very intelligent person is daft. Or a suggestion could be daft.. In any event, it’s a somewhat unfortunate acronym
