How about trying to install lineage or another os? Not that I would discourage anyone from buying a fairphone.

@econads@mendeddrum.org @paddyduke@mastodon.social Sadly I need an android phone for work but now that I have a cheap generic one I'm starting to think that as a second phone and have a proper one to use for everything else. Annoyingly I could have grabbed something from the pile at work if I'd thought of it. Current phone won't run lineage, but many compatible phones are cheaper than a FP4 (which will also run lineage...). I'm going to stew for a bit longer but I'm leaning towards not-Android right now
