Heads-up: #KeepassXC has started using "AI" text extruders for their development process: https://www.reddit.com/r/KeePass/comments/1lnvw6q/comment/n0jg8ae/ "Machine that is very good at generating subtly wrong things that are hard to spot because they look right" is exactly what you don't want in security-critical software like a password manager.

@joepie91@fedi.slightly.tech I confronted them about this months ago on fedi when I was leaving Bitwarden, and their response was that if you don't like AI you must not have used it enough. https://fosstodon.org/@keepassxc/114895756589199844

@joepie91@fedi.slightly.tech As a KeePassXC maintainer I would definitely like to know if a collaborator used AI or not (which is why we want people to be open about it), but that doesn't affect the review process itself. Every line of the code is reviewed by a human, by one or more from the core team. I am not using any AI code myself. Disallowing AI contributions would just make people use AI in secret and not reporting that to us. Sad but true.
