@Yuvalne@433.world There is much to criticise WotC for but this particular thing is iffy. United gave them a week to respond, which doesn’t feel like a lot of time in a bureaucracy that involves layers of WotC and Hasbro. Not getting a response before a short deadline isn’t really the same as declining. (WotC’s public response is that they are reviewing it) It feels to me like United went “We have a supermajority, we don’t need recognition to move forward, let’s just do the performative motions”.

    @coreworlder@dice.camp you're saying it like it came out of nowhere. there were steps leading up to the unionising vote for a while now. and also, the deadline isn't even a negotiation deadline. it's simply a deadline for Hasbro to acknowledge that CWA is the union without the involvement of the NLRB. i mean clearly they had enough time to get a union-busting company involved... if you ever feel the need to defend a corporation, you're probably missing something.
