@syntaxseed@phpc.social teachers don’t like ai because the kids are using it to cheat, but they love using ChatGPT to write emails for them. They assign shit assignments that use the “art” ai. Or one they love is to compare how an LLM did on creating a timeline in the name of media literacy. It doesn’t help that it’s coming down from the boards either. “Use this great tool to create your tests and slides! You’ll have far more time to spend with the students!” There has been no thought into environmental impacts, or hallucinations. It’s bleak in education right now. (Sorry. Rant over)
