Lilly beetle! Lilioceris lilii such a fab name for such a little shit!
I'm not one for killing things but I left them to it one year. Never again.
It's just soapy water. A few drops of washing up liquid in an old spray bottle.
It clogs up their breathing holes. Works on the larvae too.
Also it's a really good way to get rid of aphids for a bit.

Lily beetles have only been in the uk since the 90s. They can turn a plant unto a stinking larvae shit goopy mess if you let them. My bet is, ironically, that they came with shipments of lilies. :)
