@hukl@chaos.social to be fair, comparing lossless PNG with (in your example) lossy AVIF is of course resulting in good savings 😀
Out of curiosity, what kind of images have you converted? E.g. In the past I used to stick to PNG (with pngquant) for screenshots, because I've bitten too often with weird color issues.

@tisba@ruby.social I also put a jpeg number below :) In this case it was screenshots. But I've achieved very good results when tuning for photos as well. The key message is: use more efficient formats than oldschool jpeg or png - and for the web I'd say it's wise to use a widely supported format and not the latest greatest hot off the press one. Either way: Use less bandwidth :)
