@Phangurl@vmst.io This quote in her wiki page: "Jovovich has stated that she was born in Ukraine "pretty much by accident", while she has no memories of her early years there." The footnotes direct me to two articles: one I can't read without paying $2, and the other is in a Cyrillic language, probably Russian, but I didn't dig into it or try to translate. It may be that she's choosing to embrace that part of her identity now where she'd previously not felt connect to it?
