We moved this year (twice, in fact) and have both been working our butts off trying to keep our heads above water. Seeing her do something creatively fulfilling just because it was what she wanted to spend her evening doing was awesome and a pretty rare thing in 2022 for both of us.

    @AbandonedAmerica@mastodon.social I'm in the same boat over here re: keeping the head above water—and taking a few hours the other day to do a run of linocut prints was a lifesaver. Here's to more of those moments and a lot less frantic treading in the new year! Solidarity to you both!

  • @AbandonedAmerica@mastodon.social May she and you have many more nights doing creative outlets in 2023! My husband also gifted me an acoustic guitar for Christmas. I began taking ukulele lessons back in May, and taking music lessons for the first time in my soon to be 48 year life has been a dream come true.
