@AbandonedAmerica@mastodon.social To be clear, I didn’t intend to convey such an interrogatory tone. This has been an internal debate I’ve been engaged with since I started donating to support the instance I’m on. I’m trying to understand rationale for why people stay/switch, and why I don’t switch to another one.

@paninid@mastodon.world okay, fair, I apologize for responding to a misread on my part. Truly sorry about that. I am at where I'm at because I don't want to have to switch due to proxy wars between admins. I've switched platforms a bunch and I hate it. When the process here allows me to do so without losing my whole post history I would 100% be more willing/likely to consider it

@paninid@mastodon.world @AbandonedAmerica@mastodon.social I was on other instances and struggled to get anything of interest out if my feed. I joined a ‘general’ instance and was just bombarded with bad art and cats. I saw a lot of ppl on m.s. and joined and the convos are much more varied. I saw the discourse around it being too big and started shopping again and the other instances I found listed are so so so niche it seems. I can’t find a niche where I would fit.
