@gravely@mastodon.social I can get by in French. Lucky coincidence: I’d been studying it for a few years before this happened. I am conversational if you’re forgiving, and I can certainly deal with shops and restaurants. However, in Paris everyone (particularly service people) speaks English so it’s not critical.
