@tillmanreuter@ecoevo.social I beg your pardon. I was not clear. The protocol itself is not inherently resistant. AI agents (I am sure) can be programmed and released. 'Humanity checks' set up by Admins however can prevent AI Agents setting up other AI agents. And slow down humans! Mainly however, the moderation culture of the Fediverse mitigates against the reach these bots will get. Once (if?) detected they can be 'limited' or worse. And if a server becomes notorious for hosting AI agents other servers can defederate - reducing the point of setting up AI agents on Mastodon.
