@jillL@theblower.au also this is a terrible time of year to be telling people to start vegetable gardening for the first time to try to save money. I have everything going for me: excellent soil, viable growing rainfall, farming experience, some basic infrastructure. Even with all that, my garden grows kale this time of year. Kale, silverbeet and chard. Even with ideal home growing circumstances I can only save you $50 a week at this time of year if you're willing to eat $50 worth of kale every week.
