I'm entering a new era of my career where my cycles are spent being visible now, so some people will be able to be more visible (sooner rather than) later; which is the natural order of things. I'm thankful for the opportunities, but this wonderful behavior was modeled for me. I only picked it up because I paid attention to what really sustains a community: weilding your privilege deftly.

I enjoy being initially judged as a hetero-cis middleclass white dude and then sharing that only 1 of those is true, from a position of seniority / leadership, as that creates real space for others. it's a powerful thing to survive long enough to be in a position to create space and lift others ❤️ so I'm totally here for it when someone like yourself shares
