Yes, we need author-owned means of distribution and marketing. That would be true independence.
I wish I knew how to get there, but this would be an absolute game-changer.

@Firlefanz Yeah. It's tough to deal with. I do think the 'shops' some folk are organising where people have their buy links are a good start, as are authors having their own shops to sell direct (I need to work on this). But we need something much bigger and more robust to make an impact, and I don't know where to start.
