@RVLara23 @allanfriedman Since the start of the covid pandemic, I now know two people below the age of 50 who have gotten bad Shingles outbreaks in the wake of covid infections. Basically Covid suppresses your immune system and it's often enough to allow latent viruses in your system to flare up. I seriously think in the wake of this common occurrence, that standards of vaccination should change and the age to get vaccinated lowered.

    @RVLara23 @allanfriedman There is also evidence that Shingles vaccination is associated with substantially loweres rates of dementia, so it looks like that "It's just the chicken pox" virus that everybody is so casual about in children may in fact, have very profound impacts on the course of their lives. I was not vaccinated for chickenpox and both my brother and I got it. Now I have to worry about Shingles. I may attempt to get vaccinated for it even while I'm traveling.
