@joesteel some big ass spinning drives attached to my personal desktop mac, that does Time Machine. I have an external large SSD that stores full photos library. It gets cloned to the big spinner disks too. Personal laptop does remote TM to the desktop mac. Then backblaze runs on a subset of those disks. And then anytime someone visits from Sydney (or myself goes home) a full disk encrypted copy is carried to another continent. It’s not a good strategy but it is a strategy

@joesteel Local annoying spinny boy that gets a CCC backup at night, and still using Backblaze. Haven’t had a strategy to deal with iCloud docs/photos, but the 16 GB of RAM in my M2 MBA is becoming a problem, so I think I’m going to buy a refurbished M4 MBA with 1 TB of storage and that should allow me to keep all of my docs/photos local and therefore proliferate through the backup vortex.
