@joesteel some big ass spinning drives attached to my personal desktop mac, that does Time Machine. I have an external large SSD that stores full photos library. It gets cloned to the big spinner disks too. Personal laptop does remote TM to the desktop mac. Then backblaze runs on a subset of those disks. And then anytime someone visits from Sydney (or myself goes home) a full disk encrypted copy is carried to another continent.
It’s not a good strategy but it is a strategy

@joesteel plus I’m signed into like so many iPads and Macs compared to the average Joseph most with the “download everything” thing turned on (for messages, photos, drive) that I figure one of them ought to have something I need

@_patmurray For the “full photo library” are you using Parachute or something else to get Photos to download everything from iCloud to the external drive?
