@lockelyfox Direct != private is an important note, but it's also a risk inherent in any communication that isn't secured with end-to-end encryption. It all comes down to who you trust with your communications, and the correct answer to that will necessarily depend on your personal threat modeling.

    @KinkyKobolds my main concern is that even companies with billion dollar security teams still get their dev/prod sections breached, so what hope does community owned servers have to prevent a coordinated attack? Best to avoid disclosing sensitive data in general outside of encrypted environments
