Did my first ever blood draw today. Yes, yes, I know that&#39;s wild for your mid 30s, but no doctor ever requested it before. Anyway, I hate needles and I hate blood. Everyone re-assured me that it&#39;ll be fine, the phlebotomist will be nice, and it&#39;ll be over before I know it. It was neither fine and she was not nice. It was over quickly. First meeting with a therapist today, and I am hearing the saxophones getting louder and it hasn&#39;t even happened yet. Their intake forms were bereft of any LGBTQ+ issues or concerns, and that&#39;s a major reason I&#39;m even seeking them out.
