Weee, got my first ever music box!
This isn't the first one I've seen (I've seen smaller ones before) but this is the first one I've had myself.
This one is a musical teapot.
If you wind it, it plays a short clip of an old 1920s song named Tea for Two,, and putting it down presses a button that stops it.
Here's a demo of it.
The original song is composed by Vincent Youmans, with lyrics by Irving Caesar. Performance available at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ceJGVeu28GA.

@MutedTrampet@dragonscave.space Oh no. Eventually, you will get into the big ones with discs and 50 note movements and such.

@MutedTrampet@dragonscave.space I love music boxes. I once met a blind couple with a collection of them.

@MutedTrampet@dragonscave.space that is the slowest arrangement of tea for two I've ever heard in my life. IT's usually played a bit faster, and not in that key.
