Watching Cocodona 250 on IG. It is showing really why I'm starting to love ultra trail running so much. They are all so nice to the supporters, volunteers and the other runners, really like a group of friend out and about. Good example from HardRock 100 when Courtney was setting course record, she had time to stop to talk to a fan, a small girl, while "sprinting" for the line. Though at this year's Cocodona the people who ran one aid station, after 80miles, were really mean, they didn't have the normal camping chairs, they had comfy sofas in the tent ;)

And now I just learned that a runner had medical emergency and passed away on this years Cocodona ;( Sad news, thinking about the family, supporters and other runners today.

While Rachel Entrekin was running the last mile of Cocodona 250, to win for the third time the women’s race and set a new course record, beating it by more than two and half hours, and to win for the first time the overall race, she stopped to pet dogs :) #trailRunning #UltraRunning #RunnersOfMastodon #Running #Cocodona250
