the emergency blankets are once again worth far more than what we paid. they break easily cause they arent designed for long-term use, but doubling em up (or tripling, or quadrupling) has brought the indoor temperature down by A LOT.

its the first heatwave of the year here in the #pnw – central ac is not customary so everyone is on their own. historically weve had warm summers but obv that is changing. the roommate in charge of putting up emergency blankets in the rest of the apt is unsure if she should do the south-facing glass sliding door to the balcony. im gonna let her and her partner suffer until they figure it out. i filled the bathtub with cold water that can evaporate as it warms up, i supplied the blankets. my job is done
