So much of this is about companies that bet big on infinite capitalist growth after seeing numbers spike at the beginning of COVID, with zero plan for when things tapered off. And the employees pay for it. I hate it here.

@ephesossh @sos I find it confusing that people who are, supposedly, business experts completely missed that the pandemic bubble was a bubble. The COVID bubble even had a really obvious endpoint. Once "Back to normal" hit the bubble is over. I find it especially infuriating that a bunch of gaming execs were pushing Return to Office. Game execs demanding RTO is deliberately undercutting the conditions that caused the bubble. Self-sabotage at its finest.
