Include people with disabilities in your work. Employ them, listen to them, work with them.
People with disabilities are still people. People who want the same things anyone else does. This is the kind of thing that should be implicit, but for some reason it still needs to be said.
Don’t build *for* people with disabilities and then expect them to be grateful for how awesome you are.

@RobW@iosdev.space I think employing people with disabilities is vital. Especially if you want their/our opinions on how to improve things. If you want someone with a disability to come in and tell you how to make your space more friendly and accessible, PAY THEM FOR THEIR TIME AND EXPERTISE. Don’t get them to do emotional labor and labor-labor for free. They weren’t put here to educate you and make you a better person.
