For some reason #AppleMusic decided that the entire app should be tinted based on the album art colors, ignoring user preferences. Which resulted in dark mode looking like this. I’m glad I didn’t listen to this album after dark.

@shantara@mastodon.social Yeah, if you want true light/dark in Apple Music, you have to turn on Increase Contrast (you can set it per app). It forces the mode, but you lose the album art tinting. I use a similar approach in one of my apps, but I clamp the tint to a specific range so it never gets too light—keeps white text readable while still echoing the cover art.
