@shantara@mastodon.social Yeah, if you want true light/dark in Apple Music, you have to turn on Increase Contrast (you can set it per app). It forces the mode, but you lose the album art tinting.
I use a similar approach in one of my apps, but I clamp the tint to a specific range so it never gets too light—keeps white text readable while still echoing the cover art.

@uhl@mastodon.social Thank you for the tip! I didn’t know you could enable accessibility options on a per-app basis. I wouldn’t have found it without your suggestion, as it’s buried at the very bottom of the accessibility settings page, and I found Increase Contrast to cause some appearance changes I didn’t like when I tried to enable it globally. In Music it makes the album page look better, though I find the decision to add white gradients at the top and bottom to be questionable.
