I've been teaching administrators around my campus that it's easier to use Microsoft Teams in a browser. Less bloat, more responsive, more control over how it acts because the browser doesn't just let it take actions. That's step one. Step two, hey look how more responsive it is in Firefox. Step three, look how much faster Linux is and you can still use all that stuff. Step four, we leave the Microsoft shell and gain enlightenment.

@josh@fediscience.org Wait, does teams work in firefox? I tried to do a video call in teams a while ago and it didn't work.

  • @josh@fediscience.org You're doing important work! Good on you. I'm looking forward to you announcing the final step 'And then use anything to replace MS Teams, and it'll feel like you're reborn in a more beautiful liberated form, without even the scar to remind you of the shackles'...
