"Wow, you're very human for someone who works in tech." "I still interact with people, even if I spend most of my work time with computers." This exchange is not a microfiction but an actual thing I've experienced years ago when I was arranging some banking stuff. The clerk was legitimately surprised that I wasn't the "grumpy people-hating hermit" stereotype of an IT guy. And frankly, looking around the people in tech space makes me cherish that little moment with pride because good lord the average tech person has social skills of a rock.
