@sverx The thing that uses the most energy is the window unit AC at max. It's 500W, so it consumes roughly 12 KWh in a day. Everything else is change. If I turn the ac down to about 80% temperature, I can drop it to ~9Kwh, the power savings are logarithmic so I save more power at the top with a little conservation than I do at the bottom. In a given cloudy day, when I'm using the battery capacity entirely, I find I draw roughly 12kwh total per day (because I almost never run the AC max)

  • @sverx My general rule of thumb is I need to store at least 6Kwh for night to be comfortable. I actually have my solar battery groups split, one 12 Kwh capacity, one 6 Kwh capacity. So I make sure I always have enough for night if needed, I built an interlock that lets me switch certain outlets between the two batteries.
